Mission Healthcare’s Commitment to COVID-19

The safety and well-being of our patients, staff and community members is always our top priority. We continue to monitor the latest COVID-19 updates and recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) alongside federal, state and local guidance.

We are committed to keeping patients & families safe through:

Increased cleanliness
Following strict health screening protocols
Use of appropriate protective personal equipment (PPE) to reduce exposure
Wash hands thoroughly as specified by the CDC
Maintain social distancing when possible
No home visits for staff who show any symptoms of coronavirus
Hold virtual meetings and use telemedicine visits when possible

Our COVID-19 Task Force monitors guidelines daily to ensure we have the most current facts so we can provide early, accurate and effective communication to our employees and the patients we serve. The Task Force guides our response to COVID-19 and ensures we comply with public health recommendations.
Face coverings are mandatory

You will find everyone — patients, staff and visitors — in our facilities wearing a face covering.
Daily health screenings

Mission Healthcare requires that our home health and hospice employees self-monitor and report any symptoms of COVID-19 immediately.
Personal Protective Equipment

Our clinicians are taking full precautions and are well-trained on the use of personal protective equipment and supplied with sanitary equipment to care for patients safely including N95 masks, gloves, gowns and face shields.
Telemedicine Visits

Processes and strategies have been implemented to provide quality patient care while reducing the risk of COVID-19 transmission. Individualization of the hospice plan of care may include utilization of technology when traditional in person visits are restricted by COVID-19.
